Sierra FEAR 1.08 |

FEAR is
Sierra's latest first person shooter which relies heavily on DirectX 9 features.
With its "Soft Shadows" feature enabled, even the fastest videocards run at a
crawl, FEAR is definitely the new benchmark for future FPS games to
follow.
Higher
results are better.

FEAR is
just as bad as Crysis is when it comes to multi-threading, so the Athlon II X2
240e at least comes ahead of the Athlon II X4 620 in this test, but most of the
other processors in this test give better performance here.

Again,
the scores for the Athlon II X2 240e in FEAR's internal benchmark are nearly
identical between Windows Vista and Windows 7.
So how does a 45W CPU stand up to so much
competition?
