Super Pi Mod 1.5	Source: SuperPI

SuperPI calculates the number PI to 1 Million digits in this raw number crunching benchmark. The benchmark is fairly diverse and allows the user to change the number of digits of PI that can be calculated from 16 Thousand to 32 Million. The benchmark, which uses 19 iterations in the test, is set 1 Million digits.

Lower calculation times are better. SuperPi is not multi-threaded.

Although it is clocked at an impressive 2.9GHz, this single-threaded benchmark only takes advantage of 1/4 of AMD's Athlon II X4 635's capabilities. Intel's better caching and the faster speeds of AMD's Phenom processors means that Athlon II X4 635 doesn't stand much of a chance here.

Windows 7 doesn't affect the scores of the Athlon II X4 635 very much in this benchmark, so our comments from above stand.
