3DMark Vantage still prefers the Radeon HD 4890 by a tiny
degree, but for the most part ASUS ENGTX260 MT/HTDI/896MD3-A videocard keeps
pace quite well. Your other alternative is to run a pair of Geforce GTS 250s in
SLI or a pair of Radeon HD 4770s in Crossfire mode, both options scale
excellently.

Stalker:
Clear Sky is a prequel to Stalker: Shadow of Chernobyl. The player assumes the
role of Scar, a veteran Stalker mercenary who is rescued by Clear Sky, a faction
looking to explore the ruins of the Chernobyl power plant and solve the mystery
at the heart of the Zone. The Sun Shafts test is part of Stalker's benchmarking
suite, which uses DirectX 10 graphics capabilites and can stress even the
fastest videocards.

STALKER's sun shafts test is a punisher. There's not a
huge difference between the Radeon HD 4890 and any of the Geforce GTX 260
videocards here. Again, multiple GPU solutions work quite nicely here.
Crysis is a science fiction first-person shooter
developed by Crytek. Crysis uses Microsoft's new API, DirectX 10 for graphics
rendering, and includes the new engine—the CryEngine 2—that is the successor to
Far Cry's CryEngine. CryEngine 2 is among the first engines to use the DirectX
10 framework of Windows Vista, but can also run using DirectX 9, both on Vista
and Windows XP.

Again, the performance of the ASUS ENGTX260
MT/HTDI/896MD3-A videocard is a little behind that of Gigabyte's overclocked
Geforce GTX 260 videocard, and well behind that of the Radeon HD 4890.
Overclocking the ENGTX260 will likely bring it back in line with the Radeon HD
4890.
