Futuremark's CPU benchmarks can use multiple cores efficiently, so AMD's less expensive triple core AMD Phenom II X3 720 Black Edition processor wins against Intel's Core 2 Duo Processors.

The Athlon II X2 250 is again pretty close to the Phenom 550BE, although neither of them can keep up with the Intel Core 2 Duo's in this benchmark.

Again, the performance for the AMD Phenom II X3 720 Black Edition processor on the pure CPU benchmark is a little better than that of the Core 2 Duo processors. The Intel processors were paired with a faster videocard for this test, which gives them an inflated overall score.
