The same thing happens in 3DMark06's CPU test, where the Phenom II X6 1090T outpaces every other CPU, including the Core i7 920 being used on the Intel X58 Express motherboards. Again this could be influenced by TurboCore frequency adjustment.

PCMark Vantage shows the same trends as 3Dmark06 and 3DMark Vantage, although in this particular case Intel's X58 motherboards paired with the Core i7 920 processor have nearly identical scores to the MSI 890FXA-GD70 motherboard paired with the TurboCore-enabled Phenom II X6 1090T processor.
