FEAR is Sierra's latest first person shooter which relies heavily on DirectX 9 features. With its "Soft Shadows" feature enabled, even the fastest videocards run at a crawl, FEAR is definitely the new benchmark for future FPS games to follow.

Again, the GA-Z68X-UD3H-B3 motherboard has little influence on this DX9 benchmark. At these levels the performance is almost entirely dictated by the CPU and videocard.

IGP Motherboard Benchmarks

Since the Gigabyte GA-Z68X-UD3H-B3 motherboard features an on-board HDMI/DP/DVI/analog video ports PCSTATS is including IGP benchmarks for the Intel HD 3000 graphics core compared to several other Intel and AMD IGP graphics solutions. These results are usually rolled into the main benchmark charts you've just seen, but with the recent release of the AMD A75 chipset and Radeon HD 6550D IGP, it's worthwhile to see IGPs compared against themselves to truly discover all that these mainstream integrated graphics motherboards have to offer.
