Again, here you would get about 2-3 extra fps across the board when using CAS 2 ram. It's amazing that there is an 11.1 fps difference between the 12x100 CL3 setting to the 8x150 CL2!
Here's the question now… Does the performance of the ram justify its higher
price? If you're not a power user, then I guess you would be happy with the
generic PC-133 ram. It's cheap and does the job. For someone more like myself,
these numbers would easily sway my decision when buying RAM. I mean, it was only
$30CDN more per DIMM and the performance speaks for itself.
Remember this when buying anything, you get what you pay
for!
