The death of beige computer components could not be a more welcome change - the speakers that come with the 240T measure 17" tall and come with really cool looking stands so they can be positioned away from the display if you wish. One of the speakers receives all the power and audio cables and also has all the controls for base, tone, and volume (a green LED on the front let's you know it is on). The left hand speakers needs only a jumper cable to pick up on the sound. And yes, there is a headphone jack built into the rear of the right hand speaker as well. Sound quality is pretty good all things considered.

The degree of tilting is less than with other LCD displays, but since this one is somewhat heavy, and costs nearly five grand USD, it's a good thing. The speakers match the display nicely and are really good for movies or MP3 playback - with a really good range on the volume. The only downside is that they are light on the base - being based on a full plastic construction and with such a small area to work in this is expected. They sound better than standard computer speakers, but not quite as good as the Logitech Xtrusio for example.
