SysMark2002 is more of an extension of SysMark2001
rather than a whole new benchmark. The applications used during testing have
been updated and most importantly for AMD users, the new SysMark2002 uses the
Windows Media Encoder 7.1 which supports the AthlonXP's SSE
instructions.
The
Asus K8V-DLX/WiFiB performs very well in SysMark2002. It's a shame that the software used
in this benchmark does not take advantage of the Athlon64's SSE2 instructions,
if it did the Internet Content scores would be much higher.

Content Creation Winstone 2002 is a system-level,
application-based benchmark that measures a PC's overall performance when
running top, Windows-based, 32-bit, content creation applications on Windows 98,
Windows 2000, Windows Me, or Windows XP.
Business Winstone 2002 is a system-level,
application-based benchmark that measures a PC's overall performance when
running today's top-selling Windows-based 32-bit applications on Windows 98,
Windows 2000 (SP6 or later), Windows Me, or Windows XP. Business Winstone
doesn't mimic what these packages do; it runs real applications through a series
of scripted activities and uses the time a PC takes to complete those activities
to produce its performance scores.
Things are a bit closer together here in the Winstone 2002 benchmarks. Still the
Asus K8V-DLX/WiFiB at stock speeds is again near the top of the charts in terms of
performance.
