Unreal
Tournament 2003 is the sequel to 1999's multiple 'Game of the Year' award
winner. It uses the very latest Unreal Engine technology - where graphics, sound
and game play are taken beyond the bleeding edge. Unreal Tournament 2003 employs
the use of Vertex as well as Pixel Shaders and it's recommended that you use a
DirectX 8 videocard to get the most out of the game.
UT2003
confirms exactly what all the other benchmarks say, the Albatron Trinity GeForce
6600GT is one fast videocard!
An excellent card overall!
If you've been holding out on
a videocard purchase for something with value, or are looking to buy, now is an
excellent time. Mainstream cards like the Albatron Trinity GeForce 6600GT AGP
that we looked at today are wickedly fast, enough to satisfy even the most
budget-constrained gamer! Sure it's not as fast as the top of the line cards,
and you can't turn on all the eye candy at 1600x1200, but when you're playing
competitively, that doesn't matter anyhow.
We were definitely pleased with the performance of the Albatron Trinity GeForce
6600GT AGP at stock and overclocked speeds. It put up a good show against X700
Pro based videocards like the Gigabyte GV-RX70P256V, and matched the PCI Express
versions of the GeForce 6600GT.
It's nice to see despite having a bridge chip between the
PCI Express core and AGP bus, framerates and benchmark numbers didn't have to
suffer. With a retail price of $280 CDN ($226 US), the Trinity GeForce
6600GT is one of the more economical GeForce 6600GT cards on the market.
