The Winstone 2004 Office Productivity tests show results which are much closer than what we witnessed in SYSMark 2004. The Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 and P965 Express combination puts forth a very capable computing platform that is hard to beat, even for AMD's top of the line chips. Remember what you're seeing here, and that the Gigabyte GA-965P-DS3 motherboard retails for only $150 CDN! Yikes!

Sandra is designed to test the theoretical power of a complete system as well as the individual components. The results are also purely theoretical and may not represent real world performance.

SiSoft Sandra shows off the power of the Core 2 Duo E6600 processor well. The Multimedia and CPU benchmark results are way higher than anything else we've ever seen prior to this... the socket AM2 Athlon64 based systems are left behind by a fair margin. Memory bandwidth numbers are high for the Gigabyte GA-965P-DS3, but not as good as with the socket AM2 Athlon64, that's certainly interesting.
