3DMark06 is the worldwide standard in advanced 3D game performance benchmarking. 3DMark06 illustrates a nice performance boost with the Core 2 Duo E6600 chip, but the socket AM2 Athlon64 5000+ also holds its own with nearly identical results.

nVIDIA's nForce4 SLI performs very well when compared to the competition, too bad it cannot run Core 2 Duo processors.
