The ECS G33T-M2 motherboard is intended for the
workstation market and is not designed to be a super overclocking. The
motherboard will be equipped with an Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 and a 2GB set of Corsair DOMINATOR Twin2X2048-8888C4DF memory.
Starting at 266 MHz the G33T-M2 motherboard clock speed
was increased in 5 MHz increments. It flew past 300 MHz without much difficulty,
but the motherboard quickly hit a top speed of 335 MHz. Anything higher and
the system would crash while loading Windows, or not POST at all.
The lack of overclocking
prowess should not surprise anyone considering the ECS G33T-M2's intended market - the dutiful
office PC.
The
ECS BIOS
The ECS G33T-M2 motherboard
has the usual memory timing adjustments we've come to expect.
You can't expect much overclocking with options
that you see above. ECS takes a bit of a strange route, the motherboard FSB goes
from 266-680 MHz although you'll never get that high. Maximum memory voltage is
2.0V.
