Mol Dyn: Molecular Dynamics is a method for simulating the thermodynamic behaviour of materials using their forces, velocities, and positions. Most important of the afore mentioned is the force. Primordia: This code calculates the Quantum Mechanical Hartree-Fock Orbital for each electron in any element of the periodic table lower times indicate better results.

Lower calculation times are better.

Since ScienceMark only uses two cores, the higher clock speeds of the Athlon II X3 435 serve it well when compared to the Athlon II X4 620. AMD processors tend do well in the Primordia test, but fall behind Intel in Mol Dyn.

In Windows 7, the Primordia results tend to be a little slower while the Mol Dyn tests are a little faster.

WinRAR Internal Benchmark Source: RARLabs

This command generates random data, which contain specially introduced redundancy increasing load to processor and memory. Then data are passed through RAR compression and decompression algorithms and output of decompression algorithm is compared with source data. If any difference found, WinRAR reports "Errors found - Yes" in the command window. Also WinRAR displays a size of processed data and compression speed, current and resulting, in kilobytes per second. You may use the resulting speed value to compare RAR performance in different conditions.

Higher results are better.

The Athlon II X3 435's doesn't do quite as well as the Athlon II 620 in WinRAR since it has one fewer core, but the additional 300MHz clockspeed still keeps this a close race.

WinRar's internal benchmark scores tend to fluctuate a lot between runs (due to the mechanical nature of hard drive caching), so don't read too much into the differences here between Windows 7 and Windows Vista scores.
