AquaMark
is another DirectX 8 benchmark. Using vertex shaders, any card that is DirectX8
compatible will not just have a huge speed boost, the image will also look
better. Default test has 24 MB worth of textures.
Every card is perfectly gamable here in AquaMark at
1024x768.
The
Chaintech Apogee AA5700U can provide you with decent framerates up to 1280x1024.
Anything higher and the card is not powerful enough.
AquaMark3 is a powerful tool to determine reliable
information about the gaming performance of a computer system. Because the benchmark extensively
utilizes DirectX9, DirectX8 and DirectX7 functionality, it represents the
requirements of typical gaming applications in 2003 and 2004.
Here in
AquaMark3 we see that the Radeon 9600XT powered Asus videocard performs slightly
faster than the Chaintech Apogee AA5700U.
