The
latest version of the popular PCMark series, PCMark04 is an application-based
benchmark and a premium tool for measuring overall PC performance. It uses
portions of real applications instead of including whole applications or using
specifically created code. This allows PCMark04 to maintain a smaller
installation size while still giving accurate results.

PCMark04
reports back with the same results as Sandra; CPU scores are all about the same,
but memory bandwidth is significantly improved. Let's see how the GA-K8NXP-9
does against 3D applications...
By
combining DirectX8 support with completely new graphics, 3DMark 2001 SE
continues to provide a good overall system benchmark. 3DMark2001 SE was created
in co-operation with the major 3D accelerator and processor manufacturers to
provide a reliable set of diagnostic tools. The suite demonstrates 3D gaming
performance by using real-world gaming technology to test a system's true
abilities. Tests include: DirectX8 Vertex Shaders, Pixel Shaders and Point
Sprites, DOT3 and Environment Mapped Bump Mapping, support for Full Scene
Anti-aliasing and Texture Compression and two game tests using Ipion real-time
physics. Higher 3DMark scores denote better performance.

I guess
you can say things don't start off too well considering the Gigabyte GA-K8NXP-9
comes in last in this aging DX8 benchmark. Keep in mind that the test system is
using a slightly slower videocard (X800XT versus
X800XT PE).
