Content Creation Winstone 2004 is a system-level,
application-based benchmark that measures a PC's overall performance when
running top, Windows-based, 32-bit, content creation applications in Windows XP.
Business Winstone 2004 runs real applications through a series of scripted
activities and uses the time a PC takes to complete these activities to produce
its performance scores.

The Winstone 2004 numbers are a lot closer,
and we can see that the dual core design gives those chips a leg up in Content
Creation 2004. If you plan to get a dual core processor, it is best to make sure
that the software you are using supports SMP.

Sandra is
designed to test the theoretical power of a complete system and individual
components. The numbers taken though are again, purely theoretical and may not
represent real world performance.

The processor numbers from SiSoft Sandra are
quite impressive. Bandwidth at stock speeds for the Athlon64 X2 4800+ is
slightly lower than with the single core Athlon64 4000+. The overclocked numbers
are the highest we have ever seen, amazing!
