The XPC SG33G50
has two 240 pin DDR2 DIMM slots which accommodate up to 4GB of DDR2-400/667/800 memory in
a dual channel configuration. The drive cage sit directly above the
memory slots, so tall memory like Corsair's DOMINATOR line will not
fit.
|
The floppy drive is basically is dead, but
if you're still clinging to yours Shuttle do include a header for one. The floppy cable is
not installed into the system by default, you'll have to route that
yourself. It can be quite tight so use some patience during installation.
The drive cage is nothing but a single piece of shaped aluminum.
There are various holes for mounting floppy, hard disks and optical
drives. At the bottom is a transparent piece of
plastic which acts as a cable catch and helps keep cables off of
the northbridge heatsink. |
The heatsink
which is included with the Shuttle SG33G50 SFF system is a custom
thermal solution.
A large, but very thin copper
heatspreader makes contact with three heatpipes which conduct the heat to
an array of aluminum cooling fins at the rear of the system. The heatsink
is held to the chassis via four spring-tensioned
screws. |
The 92mm PWM fan is housed inside
an aluminum shroud which directs all the hot air from within the XPC SG33G50 system
through the fins of the heatsink and out the back. There are rubber washers
sandwiched between the shroud and the chassis to reduce vibration and
noise. |
The Shuttle XPC SG33G50 supports DTS connect
HDMI. |
