Prelude to Benchmarks and Test Specs
As the Intel G33 Express chipset is Microsoft Windows Vista
ready, PCSTATS will be testing the Shuttle XPC SG33G50 SFF system in Windows
Vista 32 bit. Consequently there are slightly less benchmarks than we would
normally have for a WindowsXP based test system because benchmark compatibility
with Vista is still finding its feet.
The details of how the
Shuttle XPC SG33G50 SFF system test system was configured for benchmarking; the specific
hardware, software drivers, operating system and benchmark versions is indicated below. In the
second column are the general specs for the reference platforms this Intel G33 Express
based motherboard is to be compared against.
Please take
a moment to look over PCSTATS test system configurations before moving on to the
individual benchmark results on the next page.
In the last year or so PCSTATS has tested quite a few SFF PC's but
none will be compared to the Shuttle XPC SG33G50 because the system and test
parameters are different. If you're interested in the small systems, you'll want
