Almost everything
can be tweaked in the bios, there are the usual memory tweaks, one I
particularly like is the ability to force 4 way bank interleaving
.
Then there's,
Iwill's Microstepping, it's their name for 1 MHz increments from 100-200 MHz,
although there is a need to move a jumper to enable 133 MHz+ bus speeds. Also,
to adjust the VIO, there's a jumper you have to set. I still don't understand
why they couldn't incorporate a total jumperless solution. Again, it's more of
an annoyance then anything else.
With my old
KK266-R, I was able to hit a top bus speed of 168 MHz with my ram set to
2-2-2-6, I honestly did expect more (even though I knew my memory was at it's
max) but I wasn't able to hit higher. Still, the KK266plus did seem just a
little quicker at the same speeds and as you'll see, the benchmarks actually
show this too! Very exciting!!
