AquaMark is based on AquaNox a
DirectX8 game that has yet to be released. The benchmark gives some indication
as to how the video card and system in general will performs in that game engine
- and give the user a good idea on whether their system is up to par
frankly.

Even with a mighty GeForce 3,
it's easy to see here that we're video card limited. Maybe the Radeon 8500 or
GeForce 3 Ultra will unlock higher fps.
Quake III Arena is our
favorite. True it is old, but damn is it a good game! Even though the venerable
Quake III engine is over 2 years old, it's still a great measuring stick to see
how fast a computer is, and how well components work together. Demo001 is a
standard demo that's used to measure pure performance, while a demo like the
nVidia's nv15demo severely stresses the systems' video card to its
limits.

It's well known that Quake III
loves high bus speeds. The trend continues here after a brief pit stop at
AquaMark. The lead is within the margin of error however the KK266Plus is always
on the benefiting side.
It's
amazing how technology has passed. I still remember trying to pay Q3 with a
P3-600 and a Voodoo3! Man, it was terrible playing at 512x384! =)
