3DMark06 is
a pure videocard benchmark. The overall scores do not vary much between systems
and Intel/AMD platforms. In the CPU portion of the test, the Athlon64 FX-60, X2
5000+ and FX-62 processors lead the way. The single core Athlon64 4000+ falls
behind however. Dual core CPUs are definitely favored over single core chips by
3Dmark06, and the AMD Athlon64 FX-62 shows off its power with the best results
of all three test components.
