there are three separate sets of benchmarks for each
processor; a 32-bit test under standard 32-bit WindowsXP, emulation of 32-bit
software under 64-bit WindowsXP x64 Edition, and 64-bit software running in the
64-bit operating system. There is obviously a huge performance gain from running
64-bit applications, but apart from that ScienceMark sees the most benefits from
the socket AM2 Athlon64 FX-62 procesor. It really is a shame more software
hasn't migrated over to 64-bit WindowsXP x64 Edition operating system.
