FutureMark 3DMark05 - Multi-Threaded Test	Source: FutureMark

3DMark05 is the latest version of the highly favoured 3DMark graphics benchmarking series. It is the first benchmark to require DirectX9.0 compliant hardware with support for Pixel Shader 2.0 or higher! Prime95 was running in the background to simulate load on a one core.

The 3DMark05 scores are still high even though Prime95 is running in the background to occupy one core completely. The CPU scores have dropped slightly, but not much. There is plenty of multitasking power for the Athlon64 X2 5000+ and FX-62! The Intel Pentium D 940 handles itself well here, but it's not quite up to the challenge put forward by these two socket AM2 processors.
