Here's is a blurb from the publisher's web site to better explain what the BAIR is supposed to be able to do. "The BAIR is a dynamic, ever-learning intelligent service, it adapts to the changes in the Internet, learns the new tricks employed by those trying to get around filtration systems, and provides constant protection.". I think that pretty much says it all.

The BAIR has a very simple and straightforward interface. Basically, you install it, you set-up different user accounts and you set the protection level. There are three levels of protection, high security, normal security, and no security. As we mentioned earlier, we used the BAIR as well as the rest of our software with the highest possible security levels.

While in high security mode, the BAIR also has the capability to block access to the control panel, the local hard drive and anything else it deems inappropriate.

Now, let's see how it faired:

After the sad results we got with Cyber Patrol, we didn't think it could get any worse. We were wrong. The BAIR had by far, the worst record out of all them. With a 10% success rate in blocking out pornographic material, it makes you wonder if the publisher should had replaced the "I" in AI with an "S" for stupidity. Think of it this way. If you use this product, you will only be allowed to 90% of the inappropriate content. Might as well not use anything so you can view it all.

Just to add some more fuel to the fire, we also experienced a lot of problems with our Internet access while the BAIR was running. Web sites took an extra long time to come up. It seemed as if the BAIR was taking too long to examine the sites. It was definitely not seamless at all.
